About the stiff ride, lowering the tire pressure will help.? From the factory, the tires are inflated for maximum load - a full complement of passengers and luggage.? If you don't often load the car, letting out some air will lessen the impact of bumps and stuff.? Just look in your manual and see what the other settings are for the 545i with the wheel/tire combination you have.? It will rob you of some fuel economy, but things will be much smoother.

Nice ride!!
Two things:
1. Rear reflectors (a must)
2. Always wear your seatbelt even on short rides, you don't need to be going very fast to do yourself serious harm if not worn. ........... 25% of people killed in RTAs are not wearing seatbelts.
here's a few other things to consider, particularly the last pont!!!!!!!!!

My Ride: 2005 545i with everything
Thanks for the picture Casper so I know what it will look like when my reflectors arrive.
I picked the 545i because it's the car I've always wanted. When I was a teenager 18 years ago my brother bought a new 530i and that was it for me. I loved that car. Two years ago when I bought my 325i I had just finished my residency and money was a little tight so I got what I could comfortably afford. Finally I reached the point where I could pretty much afford any car I wanted outside of exotics, and this was it. I went to the dealer to discuss ordering one, and there it was sitting there, pretty much 90% of what I wanted to order, having arrived all of 4 days earlier, so I just leased that one (I lease through my office rather than buy for tax reasons).
Fortunately there happened to be heavy promotion of the 545i in June with the .0010 money factor which made it much more affordable and competitive with the 530i. I didn't steal it but got a fair deal.
