Nice motor - love the wheels. They look great and very easy to clean.

Yes, the wheels are so huge I can stick my fist between each of the spokes, not bad to clean. But PLENTY of brake dust of course <_<

I just picked up new ride 2 days ago!

E60 2005 Titanium Silver/black/anthracite 545i
steptronic
sport pkg
navigation
premium sound
cold weather pkg

I love it! It replaces my 2003 325i, wow what a power difference.

A couple things that annoy me-- the seatbelt warning chime won't shut up if I am making a short trip without my seatbelt on? (any suggestions?). Also I'm surprised how stiff the ride is-- I guess that's the good and bad of the sport package.

The stereo is AWESOME.

suggestion for the warning chime, buckle the seatbelt

Please just wear your seat belt, there is a saying that most accidents happen close to home and when you just want to "run to the store real quick". It might not be u, it might just be that drunk guy behind the wheel or some punk who thinks he's speed racer! Anyway love the car post more pictures and welcome to the best forum online!

I posted more pics in the first post of the thread if you are interested.

Great pics of the new machine! Welcome to the board. Your second mod after the red Euro reflectors is the awesome "E60.net" window decals!

About the stiff ride, lowering the tire pressure will help. From the factory, the tires are inflated for maximum load - a full complement of passengers and luggage. If you don't often load the car, letting out some air will lessen the impact of bumps and stuff. Just look in your manual and see what the other settings are for the 545i with the wheel/tire combination you have. It will rob you of some fuel economy, but things will be much smoother.
