Has SAT/NAV issue been resolved yet? The last options sheet for a 545i explicitly said NAV and SAT cannot be ordered together. This was on a 2005 545i options sheet....
Yes, the conflict has been resolved and you can have both NAV and SAT Radio in the same car. I was the one who posted the options sheet that you linked to, which was dated July 2, 2004. I now have an updated options sheet dated July 16, 2004 and in this one there is no mention of the conflict. The Sat Radio and Sat Radio Prep are both in bold letters indicating that they were the reason that the sheet was updated. I will scan and post that sheet sometime this weekend. As further assurance that NAV and SAT Radio can be ordered together I can tell you that I read a memo from BMW NA to the dealers that my salesman showed me in which it specifically said that the two options can now be ordered together. And as a final confirmation neither the Euro Delivery Department nor BMW's online ordering system had any problems with that combo, so it should be fine.

I certainly hope so. Everything I read over the past 8 months stated that bluetooth would be available starting with September 2004 cars. Jonathan Spira recently posted to Roadfly saying bluetooth will be available on 10/2004+ cars, and I'm hoping it was a typo. We'll see, but if Sept. build cars can't get it, it'll be available shortly thereafter.

Update: Jonathan responded on Roadfly. September build E60s will have bluetooth as well, so everything will be good for MY2005 machines.
... It is like getting married and going on your honeymoon for a few days and then having to leave your wife and not see her for two months.
Another one for the funniest lines section.
Duly noted..

Does anything specific need to be order to get the Bluetooth capability or will it be standard on all 2005 5 series?

rodybmw,

Does this mean they've figured out a way to retrofit nav cars that were pre-wired for Sirius?

Boy I hope so!!

Unfortunately I don't know about that.....I just know that the conflict has been solved for MY 2005 cars. I guess we should just wait and see.
