En Route
Ajax: I think it's normally about 14 days to Calif. However, the change you saw, when it went from awaiting transport to en route, probably happened a few days before you saw it. I'm not sure if you're talking about Owner's Circle, but, if so, there normally behind. Call you dealer and ask him/her for the date that your status changed, add about 16 days to that, depending on how far your dealer is from the prep center and you should have an approximation of your delivery date. Your new baby should spend between 1 and 3 days at the prep center before being released for transport to your dealer. HTH.

You are absolutely right, Rudy. After three months, the inner kid and the adult are constantly badgering back and forth over the worthiness of a run to the you-name-it-store. I do not believe this malady will cure itself soon. Guess I'll just have to endure.

Aren't most of those products in cans and bottles?
"Honey, would you like a milkshake from McDonald's? Maybe some fries? Do you need me to pick up the kid's prescription from the drugstore? Are you sure?"
Or there's always, "I'm going just down the road to pick up a dozen Krispy Kremes for tomorrow -- see you in a couple hours!!"

Congrats. My car is En route now also!! (Wooooo Hoooo!!!) From my experience, it takes 17 days for it to reach California. For those lucky guys on the East coast, the trip takes 12 days. I'm hoping it will be in and out of the VPC in 2 days, and at my dealer in two days so I can have it for that weekend!!
My next call will be to BMWUSA to see if I can find out the name of the carrier and start tracking it there. Where in Cali are you at?? I'm wondering if our cars are on the same boat!
