My first year of e61 (525 msport) ownership and therefore my AUC Warranty ends in August. In that year I have covered over 20,000 miles and other than an altercation with some kerbs, the glow pulg control unit being replaced and a full i-drive update it has been problem free.

My question is, should I renew the warranty with BMW, I am looking at ?700 for the full one with recovery that covers everything. In your opinion does an '05 e61 diesel need that level protection, it has 62,000 miles on the clock, I know it is an insurance policy, but wondered if anyone had any experience of the level of bills you can start getting with one of these at this sort of mileage?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers

Can I ask what other levels of cover you are being offered by BMW ??

If you intend keeping the car, then 20,000 miles is quite a bit to do per annum, so it might be worth considering it.
