Imagine my suprise when I was waxing my car for the first time since i picked her up last thursday that on the rear bumper where the reflectors go(i had them installed at the dealership)there was a chip out of the paint. My 5er is orient blue so it stood out pretty well(maybe its just me)so i took it back today and they said there going to have to repaint and sand down the area! what a nightmare!anyone else have a story like this. I live in germany the land of BMW and the best they can take reflectors out of the car they made is with a screwdriver! oh'well we'll see what kind of job they do fixing it....

Hey at least you have factory quality service center bodyshops..! We still have independent no factory owned service centers so we deal with all the BS they can throw at us <_<

I have seen a local So. Calif dealer (not mine thank god) spend a few hours on a new delivery swapping out the wheels. As they drive the car out the service tech comes around the corner out of the service bay into the delivery area - HOWEVER the gate was closed... He smacked the front of the car into the gate... The car was a write off with under 15 miles on it!

Same thing here. Idiot at the body shop dinged the area just below the left rear reflector. Going in next Monday for repair.

I had my passenger window pillar scratched when the hood was adjusted. Also, my left rear rim was thrashed when the tire was changed and had to be repainted. Many black boot marks on my door panels after service was done.

Incompetence is everywhere. Obviously none of the people working on our cars own a decent car themselves.
