But doesn't BMW-Williams F1 use Michelin tires? AFAIK, the only reason Bridgestone wins is because of Ferrari. Not that they're not good wheel but I just thought that if the BMW-Williams car uses Michelin, it would only make some sort of cross-marketing sense to use a Michelin tire on the BMWs.

Yep.
BMW Williams F1 is on Michelin.
Ferrari is on Bridgestone.
Michelin is ahead of Bridgestone, but Ferrari has the over all better team and that's why they are winning.
Michelin was not an option here... He got switched from Dunlop to Bridgestone.

IMHO, I like the Dunlops very much and also like Goodyear tires in generall.
I don't mind the Bridgestones but I don't like the Michelins, even they are better (over all) in F1... But I'm not a F1 driver...

Yes they are the bridgestones RE050 with RFT technology. I don't mind what brand of tire is under the car as long as the shaking is gone and I don't get more tirenoise.

530E60NL - did you ever get your Bridgestones? are they in fact the RE050 RFT? can you check the rear size and confirm that they are OEM replacement 275/35-18?

the reason I ask, I am due for a Bridgestone Replacement as well, and don't see that size in the tire. Also, do you have the RE050A, A is a more sport tread pattern and is specific to a few BMW and MB cars, i think.

How do you like them compared to the Dunlops?

I have Bridgestone RE050A with Dynamic Drive. The car is too much reactive on small asperities and the ride really harsch. I spoke with some people and they confirmed everything. Also tried same car with Dunlop....much quiter and comfortable...I wanna get rid of my Bridgestone ASAP.
