525, Nav Pro, BlueTooth prep, 6cd
Greetings from Singapore. Bought mine (525) with the options (see signature) for SG$230,000, which translates to nearly ?78,000. Tax structure in Singapore is rediculously high. Hmmm...what can I get for the same $$$ in the UK?

A fully loaded M5 and some spare change !!

?48k + another ?4k for the M172's & PS2's
?4k for the 172's and PS2's is ridiculous. SA surely cant be that expensive ?? Last time I was there it was damn cheap. Beautiful country - sitting in Blues in Camps bay drinking beer for hours on end just can't be beaten !!

See here for a good price on 172's with contis (thinking about them myself)-

SA is reasonably priced for tourists paying for accomodation & food when converting from ?'s or $'s.

But it is not the place to come & buy BMW parts or accessories!

I actually bought the tyres from Tirerack but had to get the rims on special order from BMW.

By the way if you were here around 2000/2001 you would have got over R20 for ?1, but now you will get half of that.

It was 35k new in march with Nav Pro, Bluetooth, Convenience pack, Service pack (3 years or 60k), leather (not sure whether this is standard??), larger alloys (19"?) I paid approx 26k with the deal he gave me.

Sound about right?? 6k on the clock and absolutely immaculate..

Compared to the UK most places are seem cheep.

I went to SA for the cricket world cup and last time was about 2 years ago on a trip to Cape Town.

I know this is detracting from the topic a bit but how did you find the change from the 135m rims to the 172m's ? The 172 look fantastic to me, especially so given they fill the arch a bit better, but does moving up to 19" harden up the ride significantly ?
