I thought I told you to call Alex up BEFORE you dropped your car at Bay...
Wow, I'm glad uskg76` was here to catch it fast enough
I've met Alekhan (did I spell your name correctly?) at the El Greco Meet this Sunday - he definitely knows what he's talking about
My initial concern with Alex was that you usually "get what you pay for" and I was cautious, but it seems more and more now that he is definitely a good mech.

hmmm so I just called that guy (Alex) and he said labor is $350.. thats not bad at all assuming that Bay is charging $660 for labor

I'm guessing most dealerships would keep the car in for at least a week for something like this, so time-wise it sounds excellent.

I had to replace my clutch, in the end it turned out my flywheel got messed up too.
When i figured this out i looked everywhere for an aftermarket clutch (one that eliminates Self adjusting clutch) but i didnt have any luck, so i just went with OEM. I was also going to opt out for the Dinan flywheel but that was 4-6weeks away and i needed my car the next week. sooooo no go.
But overall, im happy with the OEM clutch, just do the CDV delete or replace and you'll even be happier.

Sorry to hear that the flywheel is bad too.
Here is what I was charged at a BMW Center. Cost is in USD.
Labor: 6.0 hours @ $126/hour (discounted)
Clutch, part 21-20-7-531-556, $298.23, list price $509.61
Twin mass flywheel, part 21-20-7-533-868, $795.02, list price $1,186.04
+ misc parts under $20
+ brand new 530xi service loaner (<500 miles) Mon - Fri at no extra cost
Total bill came to about $1,800. Discount is a courtesy to BMW CCA members. The annual membership dues have more than paid off for me, plus the BMW NA rebates for new and CPO BMW purchases. At my next membership renewal, I'm selecting lifetime membership!
