Thanks for the bulletin. Will get it replaced.

So... the part numbers you guys are listing are for the bracket? So its not the whole fixture that must be replaced then? At least thats a bit more cost effective. Guess I'll have to make a list of stuff next time I schedule an appt.

Maybe we need to create a master "punch list" to drive our dealers crazy! (and to make sure our autos are in top condition ) This could contain a list of known issues... their appropriate documentation... models / manufacture date effected... etc...

Comments?

For those unfortunate ones who have the brackets broken, are your headlights still in the right places?

For everyone reporting that their brakcets are not cracked....I would keep an eye on them. I checked my brackets when I first got that bulletin a few months ago. However. I just washed the car yesterday and looked at that again because of this post. Guess what......you're right......that are both cracked. No biggie! Will get them replaced the next time I am in for service. Still tight in place.....can't move them.

Also I am a 01/04 build

I was at the dealer this morning for the fuel clip recall. I kicked tires in the show room and looked around for cracked brackets. Found none.

Checked part numbers and all of the new cars have the same part numbers as mine:

63.12-6 949 634 (right)
63.12-6 949 633 (left)

The part numbers in the bulletin are:

63 12 6 929 307 (left)
63 12 6 929 308 (right)

Those are the part numbers that would be suspect to me. I believe I nor anyone else with the 634 and 633 part numbers will have a problem.
