Buy used M5 or keep 535d and chip it?

M5 will hurt business So 535D remapped is the way. I drive a lot (+40k now days) and M5 would cost fortune to drive that much! :'(

But maybe as a second car? Or first and 535d as a second!

Went to a friends party yesterday and a guy turns up in his stunning recently purchased 64k Intergalagos Blue M5 with all the toys. He took me for a blast and let me drive back. If you've never been in one all I can say is its a fantastic car , if you have then you know how good it is.

I can get a used model for around 64k similar to the one I drove and have my wifes backing..........................................
I only read to here. What else were you babbling on about??!?

Only joshing of course, are you keeping the 535d then? If so, spend a tiny amount of the money you're going to save on a few track days. You can have a blast in some real exotica now.

Alternatively, get a year's membership of that Damon Hill P1 club

Funny Merv. Great decision . Before I ordered my 535d, I was thinking about purchasing an M5, had the color and options filled in and the the dealer spot to get it in 3 months (he was waiting for the go ahead). Then I broke down situation the same way you did, but I also had to factor in : my new-born son , my 'permenent speed limiter ' wife and of course my 'new grandma' mother who lobbied against it and gave a crash course to my wife about the vicious beast the M5 is.
Let's just say that soon to be a year with my 535d and with 35,000Kms on it (still trying to figure out how all thos Ks got on it) ......GREAT RIDE .
Now the sad news is that I am off to Tanzania for a longtime and cannot take my ride with me. I have had the painful experience of giving it to my brother, who actually hates the E60 design but can't stop talking about the way it rides.
