The Bridgestones have a UTW (universal tread wear) rating of 140 verses the Dunlops UTW of 280. Since my car drives unbelievable around a corner with the Dunlops I don't think the softer compound of the Bridgestone will benefit me much more. Solely because of the rating of 140 v. 280 I would go with the Dunlops again. But it won't help if the longer lasting Dunlops start making noise again. Did they change the Dunlops design since we all have been having problems with them or are they the same tire design prone to noise after 10K miles? Any opinions?

Why not go with a really good non runflat tires? Will BMW pay for 50% of any tire you want to get? You have a compact spare to take care of emergencies. From everything I have heard, the ride quality, handling, braking are all improved with the use of more conventional high performance tires.

And, if you have leased the car and your conventional tires have worn down, you can keep the #$*#! runflats and return them to BMW when you turn in the car.

BMWNA will only replace with same spec tire.
