My dealer called and my (2005 530) car was put on a truck on Friday and is to be delivered today. So yes, the 2005's are finally starting to arrive. It was at the VPC about a week longer than it should have been, but it could be worse I guess.

Worst part is, because of my schedule, I can't pick it up till Saturday....

Don't forget to take your camera. Also check out the FAQ pickup list.

Thanks a lot! It is very helpful to understand the procedure. I placed an order two weeks ago, but still do not know my production # yet.

Finally I got my product # and immediately registered to teh owner's club. Yes, my info is already there with no mistake, which is great. I also called BMWNA and checked my status in both sites.
Owner's; on order
NA ; is cheduled production with no confirmed date yet

I know NA site will give faster info, but is it normal that after more than 2 weeks (placed order on 9/18) no concrete production date yet? Is it due to the order jam for MY2005 back log?

That's the way it was with mine. Again, the dealer knows the scheduled production date, which in most cases is the actual. But, the OC site did not tell me anything until the car was enroute to port. After having checked the site multiple times daily for months, I nearly exploded with excitement knowing I actually wheels on the way.

My dealer called. My 2005 545 arrived at the VPC on Sept. 26th. It left yesterday and hopefully will arrive at the dealer this next couple of days.

I will be picking it up on Saturday!--hopefully.
