Amigo525, we have an option here in Europe that gives us the possibility to debadge from the beginning ( logo deletion ) as the other members mentioned.
It it is my second BMW out of the 3 that I debadge...it looks pretty nice I think.
It's personal I guess. There was a guy at the dealer who was getting his 530i delivered and my car was next to his...we started a conversation and at some point he asked me : what engine you got, 3.0i ? The guy wasn't expecting the big one...hehehehe he replied > " it's a beast!!!"
And he is sooooo right!!!

Thanks. Me too I think my 5 looks much cleaner in the back debbaged:

BMW's are badged.
In Europe you have the option to get it debadged from the factory. In that case you don't automatically receive the badge.

So is it true then that all badges are installed at the dealership in Europe or did Andy simply order a debadged with an extra badge?

I am pretty sure they have forgotten to order the car debadged and took it off as soon as the car was delivered to them. But it could also be that the dealer just gave it to him as a freebie, but I doubt it.

From the photo of the glovebox, it looks like the badge is still affixed to the original backing. If they debadged it at the dealer, the badge would look more like JDN's avatar.

So maybe the dealer gave it to him as a freebie...
Maybe I should clear this up.
The 545i was ordered with logo deletion. However I asked my dealer if I could have the badge anyway in case I changed my mind in the future. It was no problem and of course I was not charged!!

BTW, some pics of the interior/closeups of wood trim...
Last pic is the instruments...look at that 60km on the clock before delivery.
I officially complained today since there was no reasonable explanation on
who clocked it. They said " we did a normal predelivery check and went to fuel the car. Then we balanced the wheels and test drove again."
I responded that would be in the region of 10 to 20 km max. where did the
other 30-40km come from ? > " we don't know ".....amazing.
Not much I can do really. I don't have a case. There is no where written down
how many km are considered reasonable before a delivery.
Conclusion: I'm screwed.
