Well before we get down to specifics let me just say that I love this car! I have never enjoyed driving so much, and if my lifestyle were different I'd be keeping it. I'll put it this way...if all you had to wear in your closet was a tuxedo, and then your wife asked you to go out and mow the grass, you'd be pretty unhappy about messing up that beautiful tuxedo. This is how I feel about the 5. I refuse to drive it when it rains, I get grumpy when my 3 year old has to step on the seat in order to get into her car seat, I won't let anyone eat or drink in it, and if grass from the yard gets onto the floor mats I get all jacked up over it. I need a vehicle that my child can spill milk in and color on the seats with out my having an anxiety attack over it. So, Ford Explorer here I come. All that said, here are the specifics:

05 545 Sport w/57,800 miles
Silver Gray/Black Leather/Anthracite Maple (the most beautiful wood I've ever seen)
Cold Weather pkg with Heated Rear Seats
Navigation
Logic 7 with 6 disc changer
active Sirius Satellite Radio
Rear Side Air Bags
2 memory keys/1 valet key
Owner's Manual and '05 Sales Brochure

I purchased this car from the Manheim Dealer Auction (I'm a motorcycle dealer), and it was a lease return so I'm the 2nd owner. It has a clean service history with no warranty issues or claims except for the passenger seat sensor update which has been performed. It has a clean Carfax as well and I have all of this documentation for the buyer.

The car came with Run Flat tires on it and they were pretty badly cupped. After a lot of research on this site and on tirerack.com I decided to go with the General Exclaim UHP's, and we took it to The Motor Works in Greensboro, NC to have them installed. They also performed a full service and a 4 wheel alignment. It has driven like a dream since then! Last week I had TMW change the oil again and do a brake fluid flush. TMW is a member service center on BIMRS.org.

The tires now have about 5k on them and are rated for 38,000 miles. I am not a "performance" driver so they've been gently used and should have lots of life left in them. Also, Manheim put a set of OEM rear run flats on before the sale and they only have about 800 miles on them because we decided not to put run-flats back on after all of the negative information about them on this site. So that's about $750 worth of extra tires that come with the car.

We had a full detail done in December including clay bar treatment. JL Nelson of JL's detailing in Roanoke Rapids, NC did it for me, and he is a friend of FMinus whose work you may have seen on this site. JL says he learned all of his tricks from FMinus, and they are some tricks because the car looked stunning after its spa day! It has been garage-kept, and like I said I don't drive it in the rain or weather.

The interior is excellent and the Anthracite Maple wood trim is so gorgeous! I've never seen such unusual looking wood trim in a car before and I always get compliments on it when people ride with me.

The exterior has a small scratch on the driver's door that did not buff out during the detail. There are the normal slight scratches that you get from having a car out in the world, but nothing major. The one in the driver's door is the worst and it is hardly noticeable unless you know what you're looking for. Silver is such a great color for camouflaging slight flaws like that so if you're going to keep this car for a long time you'll appreciate that trait!

I can't say enough about how stunning this car is to look at and how wonderful it is to drive! You're welcome to call or email me with questions. My cell is 704 650 4814 and my email is Brandy998@gmail.com. I'm located in Salisbury, NC outside Charlotte.

It's the Anthracite Maple and as pretty as it is in photos it's even prettier in person. I LOVE the interior of this car!

Sorry for the news bimmerlust.

The mindset I had when shopping for a "very nice car" was knowing that my infant child was inevitably going to peg it with types of child-foreign objects so every time there are spills or crumbs dropped, i step back and realize "at least i'm not driving a van".

Then I immediately pull over, assess the damage and proceed to clean it up

in any case - GL with the sale!
