Had to take the wife's rover in for service, and ended up driving the new Jag XF supercharged. I got on it as much as the sales dude would let me, but I was struck at how the car drove, and the fit and finish of it. Truly impressive, especially when you consider 68k gets you 470 horsepower AND COMFORT ACCESS IS INCLUDED AT NO CHARGE.

The new Jag is one tight ride. Although Jaguar has improved on their product quality, I'd still wait a few years to see how well their current new models hold up before giving them serious consideration.

Its a nice cat, congrats and enjoy! Share your experiences with the car, if you have a chance down the road - I'm sure XF is one just about everyone's radar on this forum...

+1 Love what they are doing but just wait for the bugs to come out.

Went back to the lot tonight and showed my wife and her friend the xf. sort of got the wife on track, although she really wants to know why I need 470 hp.....like what kind of a question is that....

Not a fan, they are owned By Tata now - wonder how that will affect reliability? (like being a Ford product was a good thing? ) My mom had a V-12 XJ coupe when I was a kid and it spent way more time in the shop than on the road.

I have only really seen the XK and although the car drives nice, and even rev matches the down shifts, the build quality is just horrible.

It really isn't. The build quality on the latest generation XK is absolutely fine. I tested a couple of them, and actually had one on order at one point, when I got my last two cars.
