No way to use the Carrera as daily car.

The Carrera is a fantastic sports car. Not the fastest car in the world, but the overall driving experience--handling, steering feel, gearbox, feeling "one" with the car--is tremendous.
The only car I've had more fun driving was a buddy's 360 Modena F1--the exhaust/engine note is orgasmic! But that is clearly not a daily driver.
I've owned many fine cars in my day, and while it's no Porsche in terms of raw driving experience, my 545i is the most balanced car I've driven--sporty, luxurious & practical all in one.

Not too sure what you've seen or read, but, the GT will not keep up with the Enzo or the Mclaren.? So, based on sheer performance, the GT is not the best (and it also looks like a Toyota MR2).? The Enzo hits the 1/4 mile @ 11.0 (133.9 mph) while the GT hits the 1/4 mile @ 11.1 (133.4 mph) and top speeds of 211.0 for the Enzo and 201.5 for the GT.? What's even scarier is the Mclaren (which IS a true production car) will smoke the Enzo.? Put it this way...the Mclaren goes from 0 to 100 to 0 in 11.5 seconds.? I guess at this level, the word "best" is subjective but the numbers don't lie.

With a mclaren body/chassis and a bmw engine, the mclaren is indeed incredible. Although, if you check out the archives of car and driver or road & track, you'll find that the F1 had a skidpad of mid .80gs at best. Also I assure you that the slalom speeds would not be impressive.
Here's a cool vid on the mclaren. Check out the body roll

The McLaren F1 is an awesome car, and when you think about how long ago it was produced and how long it took for any other car to come close to it, it's even more impressive. Here's a (bad--sorry) pic I took at a local car club:
My current favorite is the Koenigsegg. Saw one at the start of the Gumball in San Francisco 2 years ago. The Koenigsegg CCR recently broke the world speed record held by the McLaren for years--got to 388 km/h at Nardo:

besides, who can argue with this perhaps being the most beautiful car ever created....

Again, the thing looks like an MR2 with nicer rims.
