Got my test drive booked next week in the new XF 2.7 diesel. Looks stunning in the metallic green. I'm a bit worried about buying new model though, in case they are as flaky as early E60. May have to be sensible & leave it a year so any bugs are ironed out!

We get the UK car mags a few weeks late here, just got EVO and Car yesterday and both gave the XF a incredibly positive review. I've not seen any negative press whatsoever, it certainly looks like the XF is the real deal. The one thing I'm not too keen on are the standard wheels on the supercharged XF, I think the 20" wheels from the XK are much nicer. Other than that I like it and will be taking a test drive - my local dealer here in San Jose gets the first ones in next month.

I think they are demo cars. Their website says they should have them in March. Factory orders take a while to get here too, I had a 2007 XK8 coupe on order which was set for about three months delivery from the date of my order but in the event I decided to go with the Porsche as at the time I got the better deal. Love the 997 but I still kind of regret not getting the XK coupe, it's a beauty.

Maybe XF's handling beat E60 but not the styling.(at least for me )
And yes! i am a bit biased on e60
Wow! I always considered E60 to be the ugliest but best handling car in its class. If XF does handle better I will get one as soon as they become available. Who cares about looks? I need the ultimate driving machine!

I was going to wait for the XF and get that instead of my 535d. But having seen all the official photos, I decided against it. The pictures above are the BEST angles. View it from any other angle, and it's boring and bland (such as the side view, or the front from 99% of angles).

Overall it's an uninspiring let down and I'm glad I decided to stick with the E60.
But dude... isn't the E60 going to get replaced in a couple years? Or so I heard

It's not like the jag's resale value will be any better, though... I'm sticking with my E60 as well (But I had it from before).
