What do you guys think? I think it looks pretty sweet! Especially the rear and the interior...

Engines are 300HP 4.2L V8 or the 420HP S/C 4.2L V8... no whimpy V6... or the future XF-R

The front end is boring, looks American. The rear is amazing, cross of a Aston and XK. Interior is great also, gear shifter is like a idrive shifter.

The base 4.2 liter V8 Jaguar XF will go for $49,975 while the Supercharged variant is priced at $62,975.

There will be a more powerful XF-R.

I was going to wait for the XF and get that instead of my 535d. But having seen all the official photos, I decided against it. The pictures above are the BEST angles. View it from any other angle, and it's boring and bland (such as the side view, or the front from 99% of angles).

Overall it's an uninspiring let down and I'm glad I decided to stick with the E60.

 

I'm glad Jag decided to go with a low profile roof mounted antenna. IMOP, they ruined the XK with the telescoping radio antenna that makes the car look cheap. THe XK looks great except for that small detail. For me it's all about the details.

 

I don't mind the exterior, I don't love it though , but the dash and console look like a bad Chrysler from the 70s. Did I read it correctly that an Indian company is buying Jaguar from Ford ??

Yes, Ford is in negotiation with an Indian Firm to purchase Jag. Actually, out of the 3 firms that wanted Jag two where from India and one was an equity firm from US.

 

That steering is really ugly

 

They use the same steering wheel in the XK. I agree ugly and cheap. Looks like they used alot of parts from the Ford bin.

 

Overall I like it...not enough to buy it though. Looks a little to "Volvoish" from the rear and side view.
