You know it may be able to outperform the 2, and I know Hyundai is trying to get a new name with luxury cars. But at the end of the day its still a Hyundai.

Haha not for $40K I'm not... if it was $25K or less I would seriously consider it.

they were about 10 years too late. but overall, it's a VERY decent car for the money. I honestly would buy it so i would have to debadge it....nevermind, i wouldnt buy it...

My buddy (who used to have an M3 convertible) and currently has a Lotus Elise loves the Genesis. He went to a special Hyundai driving event and has driven the V6 and V8.
He said Hyundai had an S550 there to drive back-to-back. They had plastic tarps down in a parking lot, and they poured liquid Tide on the tarps to make it slick. The Benz couldn't get traction and was barely driving with its overly-aggressive ASR.
The Hyundai was superb, driving with no trouble. He also said that the feel and the dynamics of the Hyundai were incredible. According to him, the interior quality was amazing. He's actually thinking of buying one.

So the Genesis can brake faster then our BMW's.. what else can it do better then a Bimmer? Exactly!
It is impressive from what they used to offer for a luxary sedan, and the price is very reasonable.. but I wouldn't compare it with BMW or Mercedes.. because in the end, it's still just a Hyundai!

Against the 550, the 180 firm cornering... against any other BMW? probably 0 to 60 depending on engine size.
It beat the 750i
