How was that 954? Had alot of low end compared to the R1? Got any pics of it? Gotta love that 954
I'll post some pictures when I find them.

Have you considered a Triumph Sprint? The new one has plenty of power and unique looks that will get you noticed. I have a Suzuki Bandit 600 that suits my riding style just fine, standard seating position for long rides, easy to handle in the twisties and plenty of juice to make the adrenaline flow. My brother had a 2001 Sprint RS that was just head and shoulders above the Bandit but I would probably just get in more trouble with more power at my disposal. What ever you decide just make sure that you remain aware of the other drivers on the road, they may not be looking for you.

I can't believe no one mentions about Honda 1000RR. I tried R1 and ducati 999. 1000RR is fast, handles great. The most important, it's way more comfortable than other super bikes.

I do not recommend a bike at all. In 1970, I had a bad crash caused by a delivery boy turning left in front of me (standard story). The ball of my hip was pushed through and exploded my hip socket. They told me that I would never walk right again and without extreme pain. But, I had an incredibly low probability recovered that held up very well for about 25 years despite being a runner, etc. But, 10 years ago my hip's downward trajectory became more pronounced. So, on Wednesday 7/26/06, I will be doing my hip replacement. One certainly can get himself in trouble on a bike, but the real problem is those that don't see bike riders and make mistakes. Wish me luck. And, I hope everyone stays off of bikes. But, they are fun.
I like the new Triumphs and the Vrod. Znod, Vrod, you know my sort of name sake.

All the 1000 class sport bikes are good these days but if your looking for a smooth linear curve for torque/hp reading then ZX10r and GSXR1000 are the best
Interesting to hear about that 929, I didnt know a scotts damper helped keep the front down. I thought it was just meant to help out on smooth/stiff turning. Send some pics of that R1!
