My Ride: 2007 530i SMG Jet Black/Beige Sport/Prem/Cold, comfort, split, shades.
I have a BMW R1100S boxer replica, I had a 99 Honda 900RR which easliy could have killed me. My thoughts on the monster fast bikes from Japan are that they are very affordable but lack the character of a Ducati or BMW. Granted the BMW is considered the old man's bike, but the new R1200S and K1200S are serious bikes. My next bike will probably be a Ducati, something like limited edition Paul Smart or sport.

Are you an experianced rider?
If not, i would not mess with anyhitng over than a 600.
Start off with something smaller, and move up as you feel comfortable.
I have a zx6r ninja.....and i am very stisfied with it.
Go for a 600, cbr's and ninjas are good but the best starting out bike is probably like suzuki katana.
An r6 is probably the fastest.....so think wisely

Indeeeeed nice...and i bet it makes a sound to make you go crazy!!!! WOW! So good looking...is that for sale? What price?
Is sure is nice, 989cc with 200hp. Comes with things like a 102 db racing exhaust and racing chip which can be change into if you are using it on the track. I am sure is going to cost you a fortune if they were to offer all these.

They say it will go on sale in July 2007. You can order it now but owners of 999R gets priority when it comes to ordering as they are only making 400 each year.

Those desmos V4 will be around $60 k mark and hard to come by. As a motorcycle fan I'd like to have a piece of GP history but I wouldnt run that bike, put it in my living room and just admire it . From real GP Desmo it'll be slightly detuned but I'm sure it could be moded later on.

Good for you man, are you actualy saying that its the best bike for him, from what he said I think he is new to bikes. Another thing is your bike belongs on the track no mortal can use even 50% of what it can do on the streets or can you?
You're right, you cannot ride a 600 cc or a 750 cc or a 1000 cc to its full potential on the street. I think its more of a man thing to have a bigger bike....
For me if I can do it all over againm I would have gone straight to a 1000CC. I started with a 500cc (Suzuki) to a 600cc (Suzuki), bought a Fatboy (Harley) then a 954CC. Now my Yamaha R1. Love this bike Wasted my money going from Small to Big.
