Hello,
Wondering what my options are for a bike roof rack on my 05 e60.

Not sure what to look for. Would really like to hear from those who have owned one for awhile and can give some insight on ease of install and removal.
* (Id really like to install and remove only on days I want to take the bike somewhere.)
Id also like something that isn't huge and hideous.
Any insight you could give me is appreciated!

I had the Yakima Whispbar crossbars on my e91 with the Yakima Frontloader bike racks. The racks come off super easy and there's no need to take off the crossbars because they are silent.
I don't even know if this picture will work, but if it does you can see how it looks with the Frontloaders in folded down position. I wish I had a better picture.

 

You might want to consider truck bike carrier like the Saris and Allen sports so that you can easily load and unload your bike.
