Alright I just got back.
Jessie took out my ECU plugged it into his computer and said it wasn't actually overwritten. However, he said the speed limiter wasn't properly removed so he went ahead and fixed that problem and moved my rev limit up a ~200 RPMs. Put everything back into my car and she started up like a champ. Jessie also said he's extending my warranty another 6 months from today's date.
Vincent was very nice as well, no problems, we were all very civil.
Oh yes, Jessie did tell me to tell the forums that anyone who has SI software and having the speed limiter issue should send the ECU to him and he'll fix it for free regardless if in/out of warranty.
So that was that.

it's unfortunate how all of this came about, but i think everyone learned something out of this.
I applaud EuroRev and SI in taking care of this issue and extending the warranty.
now go to Mexico and see if that rev limiter is truly bumped up to 200mph!

Hopefully there aren't any sequels to this.
