Hi All, Here is my ordering times with him. I checked last year and this is what I found.
Paid April 3rd, Estimated 3 weeks delivery for front nonpdc Mtech bumper.
Received May 13th. Forgot Headlight washer caps.
Time wasn't that bad, but did take 6 weeks for that.
Then, Paid April 14th, for M5 mirrors.
Also, Didn't get the front headlight washers yet.
Got mirrors and headlights washer covers on June 8th.
Took 7 weeks for mirrors.
I guess these times aren't as bad as now. Its probably cause he wasn't as busy as he his now.
So I think everyone is right in, taking in orders that you can fulfill and not biting more than you can chew.

damn...i would be sooo pissed if i had to wait 6 months for a mod...sorry to hear everyone had a bad experience with Tony. I have had both good and bad. I ordered my M-Tech side skirts from Tony a long long time ago, and I got them within a week and they were packed correctly with no problems. I also received a m-trunk finisher from Tony and the paint job was very poor, but he did offer to re-paint it. Ended up not accepting it and buying it from Gary Romani.
I'm sorry that many of you have had bad experiences with Tony. I had nothing but the best experience when I ordered my M172 wheels from him back in Mar. of 2007. He told me that it normally takes a week or so to get, but the front wheels were back ordered from Germany and he gave me an exact date of when he would receive the front wheels and when he would ship them to me.......... and he shipped on the EXACT day that he had promised (which was under 3 weeks from my initial order). I even checked with a BMW dealer to find out the availability of the front wheels and they confirmed that they were back ordered. When I had tires installed on the wheels the local tire shop scratched one of the front wheels and agreed to get a replacement wheel for me. They ordered from a BMW dealer and guess what, the wheel was still on back order and it took the BMW dealer 4 weeks to get it in from Germany....another confirmation that Tony was telling the truth about the wheels being on back order.
By the way, I checked with Gary at Newport as well as Crevier BMW and Tony's prices for the 172's were better than both of those places.
Tony, I'm sorry that you're having problems delivering parts on time. I understand that some things that are causing the delay (back order, paint shop, etc.) may be out of your control, but there is one thing that you CAN control and that is to stop taking any new orders for these parts until the current orders are fulfilled (like many others have suggested). From that point on maybe you can try to keep the quantity of orders to a level that can be managed more easily which will keep your customers happy and keep you under a lot less pressure/stress.

thank you for chime in Rody, I know whats going on and its very hard for me to manipulate/control two things parts availability and the body shop's working schedule.
sometimes the body shop owner skips my painting list since he is a Geico authorized body shop to take care of other cars.
today I am going there to talk to him very seriously
and demand him to finish up the existing parts, I have so many bumpers and kits at the shop came in and needs to painted asap before I lose my business
I apologize for the previous orders for the delay or other things happen but this body shop I am nowworking with they really paint factory like finish thats why I like from them, but if its necessary I will have to find another location..
btw, I cant stop taking orders if the demand is there there were 5 more full kit and wheels orders after this post came up
and they all know about the comments etc..so I suggest for the new orders to be patient I am here to serve and make everyone happy..
best regards.

Might help put things in perspective if members actually put time/date of payment and time/date of receiving parts. It would help members and admins/mods really see how long some of you have waited/still waiting. When reading these posts everything is referred to as 6 months, 4 weeks. It would be easier to see the in an simple list.
1. Member Name
roduct(s) ordered, date of payment, promised date of delivery, actual date of delivery.....

there are MANY members here did receive their kit when they paid in full without any Group buy or forum discounted full kits I am very surprised they have not seen this commentary post and reply to it but its ok. if the parts are in stock and if the customer willing to pay in full price
they do receive their kits much faster compare to group buy or discounted items..
next?

Ok, so here's mine... I was in a little group buy for an m bumper back in October of last year. Even though he didn't meet the necessary amount of buyers for the group buy, Tony still sold it to us at the group buy price. He informed me via PM that the bumper would take three weeks. I agreed and sent my paypal on October 24th. Fast forward seven months to May '08, still no bumper, he reassured me that the bumper will be shipped in the middle of the month and even went out of his way to throw in a free m front. Unfortunately, when I saw the pictures, they were for non-PDC. In the initial buy, I PM'd and emailed my car's info (stating that it was for a PDC), but I guess this detail was accidentally overlooked. Fine, fast forward once again to the present... I'm sure this will be resolved, but who knows how long. Can a brotha get a bumper?
lokoloko you started this thread just because the free front M technic bumper turned out to be non pdc rather than PDC
and I almost shipped them to youwith the rear bumper purchased with GB which never went through.
I told you last time we spoke 15 minutes on the phone that my cost is 600 dollars just for the rear bumper painted shipped with hardware kit which you paid $399
but since the group buy did not go through I have to pay it from my pocket to make you satisfied and you said oh why you never tell me this before and you apologized!.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hate to go through this but I really dont have time to reply and apologize and etc, I have been serving since full 2 years to Hundreds of worldwide customers
Dont I deserve some CREDIT? whats going on? Isnt that clear that I reply or talk onthe phone each one of you one by one and ship the parts NEXT DAY AIR
when they are ready? Isnt is OBVIOUS that the parts are coming from Germany all the eay from Europe? Isnt that clear and appreciate it I am giving the best
possible prices and factory like finish with the NEW body shop I am working with?
whats up with all of these posts?? history is history, I cannot change it but I can improve and try to make it better for everyone in the future.
but this is too much and I really get stressed out. This forum is only my living source and I will always do my best to serve to forum members, please note it.
I shpould not be judged or put on a fire just because BMW parts shortage and the body shop making me look bad. I explained many times and PLEASE
stop bashing me and giving me hard time like this.

Alright, I have been quietly watching and waiting to see what is going to happen with my kit. I ordered my kit at the begining of May from Tony. I had seen his ad on e-bay for a Mystic Blue kit and assumed it was painted and ready to go. When I contacted him, he told me it would have to be painted and would be two weeks wait. This was at the full price. I couldn't decide if I wanted the rear bumper or if I was going to do someting else on the rear so I only ordered a front and sides (9 May). He gave me a forum discount but told me it would be a month or more because I was getting a discount. He even called me in Germany to go over this with me.
Now, as the month has passed, I have still been patient. However, I was notified that I may have to deploy with the military on short-notice. As soon as I found out about this I called Tony (5 Jun) because I didn't want to have to deal with this from the war zone. I decided I wanted the rear bumper too and paid Tony extra to get it done quickly. I have a short time line before my potential deployment.
This morning (9 Jun) I was on the phone with Tony and he called the paint shop, while I was on the line, to ensure my kit would be painted today and shipped this week. I will let you guys know when it gets here to Germany.
The bottom line guys is this. If you want to get a smoking price on a full kit, you will have to wait to get it. If you want your kit quickly, you need to be prepared to pay full price. I think that Tony's business took-off dramatically becuase of this forum. He started to get lot's of orders and at the same time had supply problems and has to work with a third-party paint shop to get the kits painted. I think if you want a kit without it being painted, you could get it quickly from Tony. He has to schedule the kits in with the paint shop and does not control the paint shop priorities.
If more people want to order from him while he still has a back-log of orders than they need to do so understanding the wait times associated with the order.
Like I said, I will let you guys know when my kit gets here.
Bottom line - Tony is running a business and has been presented some challenges that are beyond his control. He is doing his best to get it all straightened out though.

BTW, I just thought it is kind of funny that my kit is made in Germany, shipped to the states to be painted and then sent back to me here in Germany for about $1,000.00 less than I would have to pay for it here. The exchange rate with the Euro stinks! So even by paying full price for the kit, I am still saving money with Tony than if I bought it here in Germany.

Take all the orders you want, but DON'T TAKE THE MONEY!!!! The people that are ordering today NO DOUBT will become disappointed. Will there be a few that get their parts in a timely manner, yes. 90% will not. Take orders, but DON'T TAKE THE MONEY until parts are ready!

All - I hate to see Tony go thru all this hassle, when most of us on here know he's a pretty polite person, and he does seem to want to help us, by offering us a discount. However I do agree with the majority, as business is business and it is NOT fair for folks to have to wait so long on such a rather large investment of money, unless that person knows up front what he's in for with the wait.
My experience with Tony was a mixed review as I was told by him it would take 6 weeks, and in the end it took me 14 weeks. It was a little dissapointing to have to wait so long and had I known up front I probably would have tried to order from Garry (or someone else) un-painted and get it painted locally. However I never had any trouble communicating with Tony no matter how vague his answers were at least he always called back.
In the end, I think Tony is a nice guy trying his very best, however his organizational skills and ability to predict his inventory is way off. Garry from Newport was right on the money, within a day when I got my 166 wheels from Germany. He definitely knows his business. I do agree with everyone on here that I think Tony should start refusing some work until he gets caught up. However Tony is 100% right when he says the demand is there, so maybe this tread will help at least open some of the members eyes before they place their orders with Tony. The only people that can really stop the back log, is if people stop ordering and as I said maybe this thread will open up some eyes to some folks on here.
Am I a happy I got my kit? - Yes thank you Tony you did finally come thru for me in the end
Will I order from Tony again? - Probably not, as business is a trusting relationship, and I cannot trust Tony to deliver timely.
I wish this tread would have been up months ago, kudos to Lokoloko for starting this thread.
Tony - take this thread to help improve your business as I know your heart is in the right place, good luck!

The moderators on this board gave me the go-ahead to create a topic that would allow everyone to share their experiences buying from quad_m.
Since quad_m is a pretty popular vendor here, I thought it might be a good idea to let fututre buyers know what they may expect while giving pending buyers a chance to share how everything's going. Please be honest in your experiences, and try to resolve all issues with him first before posting. Then again, if you want to pass on some good words or, if all else fails, need somewhere to vent, by all means.
