He actually has texted me over the past month letting me know that some parts were on back order and that he was having problems with the paint shop. True or not, he actually called me on 7/2 and I missed his call. He then called again yesterday to give me my UPS tracking numbers for shipment.
The guy hasn't disappeared. I think he's working to get back on track. If something goes wrong with my order, I'll post a message letting you know.

All this "parts on back order" nonsense is just bullshit. Guys, you're paying in full, upfront, for this vendor to hold on to your cash for as long as possible. You're all being taken for a ride.
My vote - in any case where you have not received your parts when promised, dispute with your credit card company and get your parts elsewhere.
Based on what we've seen unravel here on the forum, and some of the responses from the member himself, I believe that Quad_m should be banned, or stopped from doing business on this site. Enough is enough. There are better, more reputable vendors here. Use them instead.

Sounds similar to happend to me....mis-set expectations, missed dates, no communication, refusal to refund, months passed. Thank goodness I paid with a credit card and was able to do a chargeback (which Tony tried to dispute with the banks with bogus information and outright mis-truths)....luckily, I had a long email trail to prove my case and the chargeback was granted. Sheesh.

Jan 31 - Tony finally responded, claimed family was there and he was out of country.
Feb 13 - I finally received the correct hardware.
There were hundreds of PMs during the process , but I would said 80% of them being ignored. I probably consider "lucky" comparing to others that have to wait over 1 year. But the delay in hardware had caused me a lot of extra works/troubles becuase I have to put my original bumper back after I took everything out and found out the wrong hardware was sent.
At one point, I posted a negative feedback on his original bumper post and Tony IM me to remove it, and waited until I edited my post before he would talk to me about my hardware kit. May be this is another reason why we never see bad feedback on Tony all this time.

Ok.... It looks like Tony has put everyone in an infinite loop of excuses and that is for his protection in his best interest to keep your money in his pocket. Why is that???
1. He advertises in E60 Forums with links to his eBay Store and mtechnicparts.com, its a contraption for you to avoid using his eBay store (has inflated prices).
2. He asks for PayPal payment quite quickly and promises about within 30 days.
3. He places everyone on infinite loop with excuses from being sick, dropping his laptop, and to his paint shop. Then he asks you to be patient...
4. Your 45 days lapses for PayPal resolution center to even consider a dispute, which most newbs don't know about this little game of cat and mouse. However you can always lodge a complaint on Tony and there will be a closed claim hanging by his name. This will help to build up a case in the future.
5. You can't do much with eBay because you didn't buy the product with them, but they will take in your complaint to inform Tony that he should adjust his auctions. Now that eBay is aware about part of the problem, they will closely monitor his activities by checking his PayPal account since he also sells from elsewhere. This is also a way to circumvent the auction fees that Tony doesn't have to pay eBay.
6. Ultimately file a chargeback with your financial institution - I'm guessing this is a 50/50 chance on getting it back. If not seek legal action in small claims court or place a lien.
FYI - I think Tony knows his time is up and he might be packing shop to run from the problems.
1. As I mentioned before about possibly selling his business, well its back up on the market. Since the last time I posted on this site, I had to view cached search results in order to find his advertisement which overtly shown that he had intent to sell.
2. According to Florida Department of State - Division of Corporations records indicate that Chalikian Investment Inc.. is an INACTIVE entity since 09/16/2005.
This means he is operating with as a non operative entity in Florida.
3. There was a search hit result on his telephone number via Google, which resulted with a recent trace of leasing advertisement on Craigslist of his condo in North Miami. We all know its recent because once you delete your posting it lingers and it hasnt popped up in the last few weeks until recently.
Assessment:
He's at crossroads in his life; he needs to make an aggressive movement to avoid legal scrutiny and juggle his financial problems. This is now a monumental issue with the consumer and the - whatever you want to call him. Protect yourself by contacting PayPal and eBay, this will finally trigger an investigation to shut him down. You guys have your money in Tony's pocket and you guys need to get it back. So do yourself a favor and contact your financial institution to request a chargeback. This has turned for the worse to become an unfortunate matter and it could get uglier by the day.
For those that have received from Tony, please post up the return sender information - could be useful to serve some papers on Tony. That's if someone is going for that route. (Full Name, Address, and an alternate telephone number) Thanks. I will keep you guys appraised.... Maybe someone from local area might want to take a peep at him and do some follow up on him.
