Nah - he's just hanging out listening to Steve Miller.

Psst: if you get that joke, you're old.
Tick, tock, tick, do-do do-doooo

(and yes, I realize you're referring to a different song... Maybe Billy Mack down in Texas can help everyone find Tony? )

So do you think this whole setup was a scam from the beginning:

1. Sell painted kits at cost or even a slight loss with good service and quick turnaround to build up a great reputation.
2. Based on these ridiculous prices, get a crazy volume of trusting customers that don't mind waiting 2-3 months because of the great deal.
3. Customers make orders without getting legal info, address, contracts, or anything based on the rep and the 'over 150 satisfied customers' over a couple years.
4. Stop completing filling any orders, but just keep taking more people's money with the just be patient approach.
5. Start talking about backorders from Germany to milk people as long as possible.
6. Once the well is dry and he has $50-$100K, disappear.

It doesn't seem like it would be worth the time and effort involved, but I dunno what else to make of it...

Well, that $50-$100k he's got better be enough until retirement because that's all he'll make starting now. I will definitely file (civil and criminal) charges against him and this will follow him wherever he goes--I swear it.

No one can take my money and just get away with it.

WOOOW ! Fantastic. This just proves to never trust no stranger whatever the reputation. I got lucky with ordering some stuff with full payment in advance without any papers to stand by the obligation. After seeing this i will never do this again. Come to think of it i remember i wanted to buy from him a brembo brake kit and coilovers

No Tony in this case i cannot risk buying this awesome braking package and then not to be able to enjoy my car. Around 60% of the driving is going to be done on the 18" rims.
Too bad i wish there was a way to be sure. For this kind of money. don't ge me wrong but i'm not willing to experience.

If you find out please give me a heads up!

Thanx.
how about the PSS9s? you still want them?

And i'm also just as shocked on how many well known people on this board praised him and were even willingly to guarantee for him.

As an non-US citizen i wouldn't know what to do if i would have been screwed for $ 7000+ Really i think i would drive crazy because i know how hard i can make that kind of money.
