I have the wireless bluetooth telephone option.

Don't know the technical name, but supposedly if I activate bluetooth on my mobile phone , this system should connect with my phone and it should work as a built-in phone.
Anyone have the exact instructions how this works??

The color of my inerior is called :Auburn brown

Well you have 2 go 2 the coupled devices screen and there you need to tap on: search for devices.
After he found your mobile phone you should be abe to connect with it during a code you have to enter in mobile and on the i-drive screen if they ask for it.

Good luck and let me know if it works or not...

Normally if your motorolla has bluetooth it should work... otherwise search for posts in the Communication subforum concerning the specific type of phone you use.
e.g. type in search: nokia 6230i

You need to have the phone search for your car. The car cant search for the phone.

Hold up. give me 5 mins to get the instructions.

These instructions are written for a Motorola V3. But just replace out the phone menu options with the phone you're trying to connect with.

The tricky bit to remember is that to set up the pairing you have to have idrive in the 'bluetooth connectable in this menu' screen and have the ignition in position 1 - i.e. on but engine not running.

Right... Just follow those directions STEP by STEP. Dont be lazy and skip anything yet... not till you know exactlly what you're doing... Promise... if your phone is compatible and you follow those directions 100% it'll work.
