If they ever get our US cars fixed to work with Bluetooth, There is still the service issue. I am a verizon customer and would like to keep it that way. Their coverage here on the east coast is very good. I know verizon doesn't currently offer a Bluetooth phone, but there is a seller on Ebay that is selling a Bluetooth phone that they claim to be compatable with Verizon.

"Sony Ericsson T608 - Only Bluetooth Phone for Use with Sprint PCS and Verizon!
This may be your only chance to get one of these new, advanced phones. Sony Ericsson only manufactured 10,000 of these, and Sprint has sold out of them. These are NOT AVAILABLE anywhere else. These are the only Bluetooth-equipped Sony Ericsson phones that can take advantage of either Verizon's network OR Sprint's network! This is a BRAND NEW unit with charger, battery, battery cover, manual and Sprint welcome CD........Note about Verizon compatibility: These phones are fully compatible and ready to be activated with the Verizon network. If you are planning to use these phones with Verizon, I will provide complete instructions for activation. ."

Anyone have a Knowlegeable opinion on wheather this phone will work with Verizon?

well like i said again, if your phone has bluetooth and it has a "Head Set Profile" then you should be fine. In some cases it could work if this profile is not present, but it might not work fully. Like your phone book might not be loaded automatically or something.
best thing again is to take yoru cell phone down to the dealership and try it there

Even though the T608 is made for Sprint it "should" work with Verizon too because it is made for CDMA (which both Sprint and Verizon use). I have also seen this phone on ebay and am thinking about buying it since I am also with Verizon. The only thing that may not work is provider specific items such as the initial screen that may say "Sprint" even after you have your phone activated with Verizon. Then again, some of these things are not hard-programmed in the phone but they are received off the air from the provider.

I think at this point that is the ONLY choice we have if we want to keep Verizon and have Bluetooth as well. I feel pretty confident that it will work with Verizon just fine, but there is only one way to find out.

Finally i decided to order the bluetooth option.
Can you give me your opinion of the best phone to work with the bluetooth in europe, Portugal. I asked the phone company, and they have the SIEMENS S55, the SE T610. My mobile phone at the moment is the NOKIA 6100 but no bluetooth equiped... i have to get a new equipment for the car. Do i have to buy something else to connect the new phone to the car?

Tuga

I use the SE T610 and it works with the car really well - it uses the external antenna and charges the battery as well. You need to order from BMW the specific snap-in cradle for the T610 - it costs about ?50 here in the UK.

We all know Bluetooth is a standard, now whether the car is American specs or not I don't think that would be an issue. Personally I have seen the T610 and T630 work on BMW's, I know it works for a fact.
