I have the new Motorola 815 - I've heard that sony ericsson phones can be use to text message via Idrive -

is this true?

Not yet I thought... I thought it only worked with the CPxxxx phones... where you actually snap it into the adapter of the car... Didnt know it worked via bluetooth on any phone...

And especially a Sony Ericsson one since the BT part of the car is made by motorola... I would think a moto would work before a ericsson...

AFAIK it doesn?t matter what phone you use: the bluetooth system IN THE CAR doesn?t allow text messaging!!

Actually it does: in some markets, incoming SMS messages (text messages) are able to be displayed on the iDrive screen, and you can pick from a few preset responses and reply via SMS.
