Is Voice recognition a part of these units? Had previously read that all that was needed a VR module add on. However 5/05 builds and on including my 6/05 build do not have a blue connector for the add on. I have checked X5's up to 3/05 build and they have a blue connector. From then on they do not.

According to Motorola the tcu should have VR capabilty. Anyone know how to activate/program it ? The bluetooth otherwise works great.

Have answer for own question.

All tcu put in the x5 after 4/05 production date have SES/voice recognition included. NO VR module needed. These cars consequently have no blue connector as it is not needed.

Hold talk button for 1.5 seconds and voice prompt will occur after the beep.
Say help and it will give you voice command choices.
