After 3 days of software works, my dealer finally enabled the eject box. My dealer installed the eject box last week but it did not work at all. I sent in again after long weekend and got the car back yesterday.
MY SA told me they were gonna update the software for my "CD-wouldn't-pause problem", but I just found no difference after I got the car back. They must have messed up this update somewhere!
My v60s now integrates pretty well with the idrive. The voice recognition software works great. It even recognizes names on my phone book (sync'd from my v60s)! I did find at some occassion the computer responds "functions currently not available" to the "Call <Phone Book Name>" voice commands, but usually it responds correctly yo my voices.
I know three days are too long, but I still feel appreciative since I know they've done their best to service such a sophisticated car (I can imagine numerous software download failures happened during these days). BTW, my dealer loan me a Z4 for these days. I don't feel like to drive back to my dealer again to correct this stupid CD problem. The phone button on the steering wheel does not work, but I'll just live with this for now.
My phone is a Moto V60s using Verizon. I might however try other
carriers/phones if I could get one. Will post the results when available. The installation works cost me $375 including the eject box.

khl, good to know... If BT doesn't come in my MY05, I plan to use the CPT9000 with Verizon and just divert my T-Mobile phone to the car when I'm in the car... Or may just use a GSM V60 with T-Mobile.
BTW: Has anyone at all tried a V600. The carkit sw on the phone is similar. If you want to try this I'm in the Peninsula/San Mateo area... BTW: What dealer did you use?

do you need to buy a bmw phpone in order to have it work w/ the car?
or will any v 60 function?
or will any v 60 function?
If you use CDMA, v60s should do the job as good as a BMW phone ($600).
If you use GSM, I heard that some v60 GSM is not working with the car.
i.e. you may need to use BMW CPT9000 phone.
