I have just replaced my BT phone from a Nokia 6310i to a Siemens S65. One of the very few phones that are "BMW" supported and are still currently available from the Cell Network Providers in Australia. The initial Pairing of the phone worked perfectly. Confident it worked OK, I bought the Cradle adapter for the car.
During the weekend, i added a number of new numbers into the phone, However these updates didnt update the phone book in the car when the phone was next BT connected to the car. (Even after two hours) Puzzled, I deleted the pairing on both the Phone and the car and paired the phone/car again.. The pairing again worked perfectly, and in the initial phonebook sync it uploaded all phone numbers including the new numbers i added.
Tried adding a new number after this process, and again it didnt update/sync. Any suggestions on what may be wrong here ??
My E60 is a 04/12 build (Original firmware with the car.. Dont know which one) Phone Firmware is Ver 16
Thanks

Solved the problem after speaking with the BMW Service team from my dealership. For the Siemens S65, i had to change from using the Addressbook to using the Phonebook instead. The phonebook for the S65 is saved onto the SIM rather than the phone's memory.
Apparently when the Bluetooth in the car interogates the BT phone on normal connection, it ONLY checks the the SIM's phonebook, if there is a change in the SIM's phonebook from whats in the car's memory it will generates a update process between handset and car and all changes are reflected into the car.
It now works perfectly...

Waiting for trunkopener button from Hobi :)
It's the same problem I had with my S55 untill I figured out that the car only reads the sim car and not the phone memory...
