I'm due to upgrade my 'phone soon and thought about getting the Nokia 6280 - 3G. Before I commit to this 'phone I'd like to have some re-assurrances that it integrates with the Bluetooth prep in the BMW and all functions are operable, including thoose on the Idrive.
Can anyone advise or relate their experiences, good or bad, with this 'phone?
Thanks for your help.

My Ride: 535d Sport Carbon Black, Black Dakota leather, Media Package, Bluetooth, Bi-xenon headlamps, adaptive headlamps, auto dimming interior mirror, heated folding door mirrors, electric front seats with drivers memory, heated front seats, extended light package, sun protection glass, electrically adjustable steering column, automatic air conditioning.
I use it on mine, works so so. Phone book transfers and You can use it through the I-Drive but on mine after it auto connects the first time it disconnects after 2 mins or so. Once I manually connect it again it works fine.
To be honest, the N70 I had prior to the 6280 connected a lot more reliably although it didn't transfer the phone book.....

I tried my brother-in-law's N6280, it was similar to what Mambo described. It will connect, transfer phone book, but when I turned off the engine and on again, it doesn't auto connect properly (drops after some time), and requires one to manually reconnect.
It's a nice phone, hopfully the disconnect can be fixed via a firmware update
