Does anyone know if there will be any new phones coming out for nextel in the future? I need to keep nextel but i also need more of a pda/smartphone

 

Our office is currently switching from the Motorola i760 to the Sprint hybrid ic530 Buzz, also a Motorola product. It offers Sprint cellular service but retains the Nextel direct connect network. It's crappy. The i760 was like the fourth generation Nextel with great features and a sharp, crystal clear screen. The ic530 seems to be a couple of steps backward with less features and like half the pixels of the former Nextel. Audio sound quality is choppy and distorted and for me is very uncomfortable to carry on a decent conversation. I don't recommend it.

 

I use the blackberry 7100i without the e-mail portion. Just the calendar, contacts etc. It pairs fine. Direct Connect does not work via BT but you probably already figured that out.
