I've had a razer for the last 3 years and for the most part been very happy, my service is with Cingular which I'm also happy with. Anyway the phone needs replacement, it will no longer keep a charge even with a brand new battery. I am trying to convince myself that the Blackberry Pearl is the right phone for me, but I'm having a hard time deciding so I thought I'd come to you guys for advice.
I don't want anything large and my last 3 phones have been flips, I'd love to hear from you guys

If email is an important feature to you, the BlackBerry's "push" technology beats "pulling" any day...
Personally, I don't care for the BB's UI and format. I wish they would come up with a folding version ala Moto A630 or LG 9800.

Well... it all depends on how much you really -want- your email. Also, how much you rely on using the phone for email.
I like getting it when -I- decide I want to get it, and not having it bug me when I don't.
I'm perfectly happy using SecureClient Mobile and IMAP on my Q. I will say one thing though - you'll get far more talk time and email time (battery) with a BB than you will with a Windows Mobile device. That's really the only complaint I have about my phone. Considering that voice is your main requirement and none of the smarter phone options will handle the docs and business you need very well, you might want to consider opting for a solid "phone" phone, and just get a Verizon EV-DO card for a small laptop you can sling around.
