My Ride: 2005 Orient Blue/Beige interior 545i: Cold weather pkg, Nav system, Premium sound, Sport Pkg, satellite prep, 30% smoke tinted windows all around, waiting for my euro red reflectors and umbrella!
Just got a motorola v330 w/T-mobile and I was able to pair the phone with only slight difficulty. The car recognized the phone at first but did not upload the phonebook until I actually made a call. Once I hung up, all of my entries showed in the i-drive screen.

I have a v330, too, and just picked up my 2006 530xi yesterday. I got the phone to pair and the address book to upload without having to make a call. It took a few seconds for the address book entries to upload. I don't have that many, as the phone is new. The salesman said that it could take a few minutes is you have a lot of entries.
