I am waiting for the Autologic supplier to get back from his holiday.
Probably the CCC has a programming error due to an aborted update at the dealer.
We are going to have to update the CCC with a loose CCC attached to the car.
This problem does not have a direct combination with the mObridge unit, you can also encounter the problem when installing the Dension as the retrofitting procedure is the same.
My experience untill now is that the mObridge manufaturer has a good after sales service. That is very important for me!

Advantage of the mObridge is that it is an all in one sollution, no loose BT adapter like the GW500.

Good luck and let us know what decission you made.

Regards,
Peter
Thanks for the reply.

Think i'm going for the Gateway. it has the usb. i currently don't have an ipod just looking for the bluetooth. this look like the cheapest way to get it.

in the UK the gateway with bluetooth is around ?420 + a bit of coding. mobridge with bluetooth is around ?600 + the coding.

Will you code the car first then install the GW500 ? and just "add" the CDC Afterwords

First retofit the CDC/iPod, then install the GW500.
This will most likely work best with a Autologic user (look out for a experienced BMW Autologic user, otherwise you can destroy a lot in your car!)

I have spoken to autologic technical and they tell me there is already a retrofit program in the autologic computer for the gateway & mobridge retrofit.

you need to fit the gateway first and set it to service (according to autologic) and run the retrofit.

going to order on Tuesday. hopefully get it all done by the weekend
