My Ride: 2004 520i, mystic blue, steptronic, beige leather, pdc, bluetooth, rain sensor, BMW sport kit fitted, 18" 166 rep BMW rims , de-badged, cherished reg. chrome grill,
My k700i worked perfectly with bluetooth until I had to have a software upgrade on the car now it connects on and off and won't display the phonebook. I've tried uninstaling everything on the phone and the car and starting from scratch but this doesn't work either at one stage before this I got half the p/book copied but couldn't make a call.
Anybody help I'm thinking about getting rid of both car and phone everytime I leave it into dealers I end up having to reconnect everything I don't know which software upgrade I've just had they never say just it's had one and make it sound like a favor they've done me
I am Pi**ed OFF

Have used a Siemens S65 since bluetooth retrofit and did not encounter any major problem, in fact, the phone is the most compatible in my opinion, allows switch between b/t earpiece, car and phone at the touch of a button.

*** This applies to K700i, and may apply to your phone as well
***
I have a K700i which when I got the car worked perfectly - fast connection, phone book transfer, etc.
Then, all of a sudden, it didn't work anymore
- it constantly connected and disconnected every 10 seconds and wouldn't stop doing that.
I tried all suggestions mentioned here, but the behaviour didn't change.
Then I asked myself - what had changed, that caused this problem to start?
And then I remembered pumping the phone full of mp3's, almost running out of memory. I removed some files, freeing up more memory, and VOILA! it now works like a charm!
I don't know to what extent this problem may be applicable to other phones, but if you experience problems such as connecting and disconnecting, it may be because your phone has little availabe memory. At least, that seems to be the case for the K700i.
