Roost,
Please tell me how do you use Voice Activating when using the Bluetooth.
On my cell phone. I already setup name dial. For example "Ted
so I would press the Voice Icon on the wheel drive, the say what? Ted?

Then "dial name" and he says "say the name" and you say "ted". The guy then says "dial ted?" and you say yes.
You can also "dial number" and say "8675309"
Sometimes you have to give Voice guy a sec to respond but it works pretty well. Better than the v710 has built in (ie better recognition) with very similar commands and confirmation.
This function supersedes your voice dialing on the phone. I don't know that you can access that at all through bluetooth and I-drive but you don't really need to. The BMW doesn't need voice training (again like the v710).

Say - "phone" to get to the phone (unless you are already there)

[/quote]I don't think it does unfortunately. It just has mult #s listed but I don't know if it realizes that 1 is a cell and 1 is home. I've not spent a lot of time trying but I haven't figured out how to do anything but the first #.

Hi Roost,
In order for voice activation to pick those up, do you record a voice tag (Voice name) on the cell phone first? or does voice recognition actually reads the name in your phonebook?
