I'm after a definitive solution to increase signal strength on my iphone and also charge it while I'm in my e60. I've spent hours searching on this forum and through various google pages and I've read a ton of conflicting information. Can someone please clarify these 2 questions:
I have a 2005 525i with no CD changer. I currently have the 1st gen iphone although the snap-in adapter appears to work for the 3g version as well (it's a very snug fit).
1.) Do I ONLY need the iphone snap-in adapter or do I need these 3 parts?
1. 184 21 6 946 075 - snap in adapter / Eject box
2. 51 16 7 060 175 - Eject box frame
3. 84 10 9 182 792 - Snap In adapter (AKA cradle)
2.) I'm fairly handy so this looks to be a mod I can do myself...right? There's no idrive software that needs to be updated? (I'm on v27)
