I was having massive problems pairing my iphone 5s to our E61 (tried numerous times of many weeks), previously the car would happily accept one of our Iphone 4s's but not both. I did all the things people wrote about e.g. 4 digit pairing but it never worked (i.e. would put pairing pin and and it would never work), but the answer for us was it happened to be a hot day and so we had one of those sun visors up (foil on both sides) and I thought why not have another go for a laugh and lo and behold both phones paired! I can only think the blue tooth signal wasn't being amplified enough until we put the foil up. We have no problems when we now hop in and out of the car so if you've tried everything maybe put aluminium foil inside the car on the front screen and you never know your luck with getting it to pair.....
