Will this drain my battery or when I'm out of bluetooth range my iDrive shutts off automatically.

Sorry if this is a dumb question lol.

This happens to me frequently but my battery has never drained. I think the idrive shuts off after 30 seconds or so after bluetooth has been disconnected.

Good to know. I was using Bluetooth on my way to work, but usually I hang up while I'm parking. I stayed talking today, got out the car, noticed iDrive was still on, and walked off.

I didn't want to be late to my meeting so...... lol

It happens to me all the time even if I switch from BT back to the phone before switching the car off. The time to shut off is longer than 30 seconds but I think it's either 15 minutes or sometime after I walk away a distance from the car. Never had the battery drain from this.

That's odd - mine disconnects immediately when I shut off the car unless I'm on the phone. Then the idrive stays on until someone hangs up.

I recently needed to reset my BB and now it stays connected to iDrive after I walk away from the car. The only solution I have found is to disable Bluetooth on my phone and disconnect it from iDrive BEFORE exiting the car.

Because this started after the BB reset I'm sure the BB is to blame but I don't know how to fix. This is not something I'm comfortable ignoring because I've found the radio and iDrive both on 15 to 20 minutes after turning the car off. I've only noticed this happens in my garage where I do not lock the car.
