So how long does it take when entering your car does your phone completely pairs with your car and you're able to make/receive calls and can hear speak over BT?

Mine will show paired within 10 sec after starting the car, but I'm unable to hear or talk over BT until after 2mins. Even when I see the cellphone icon and signal bar on the idrive screen. So is this the normal average time it takes to fully pair?

BTW I'm using iphone 6s, and my car is an 05 545i

 

Once CCC is fully booted up, my phone is paired in less than 10 seconds. Another 10 seconds and I can see all of my contacts in CCC and use my phone over BT. '04 530i, HTC M8.

 

I'm running with a 2008 and indeed it shows paired pretty quickly.. but call ability is quite variable. On occasion when I'm talking with someone I can get it connected probably 20 seconds or so. Sometimes it is longer, but.. no longer than 1 minute I would say.

 

I would be happy if I could get mine to pair at all
