My Ride: 2005 530i Auto, Hud, Full auto recaro seats, large screen, Folding mirror, sunroof, active steering, Logic 7.

This time, I really need your help guys.
When i bought my car 10weeks ago, i got idrive screen changed at my indy, with a second hand unit costing me roughly £ 450, since the one on the car was not working at all, bmw logo was coming and going all the time. After the change, the second hand unit 'rarely' did not not start after my car start. it took a few minutes to start up and everything was ok then. bmw logo was coming and going within that a few min time period.
That time my indy said he was unsure if the second hand idrive screen unit he replaced was faulty or some wiring was blame for. But nowadays, it is frequently happening though it starts working in a few min time, not much longer, though.
Do you thing my second hand idrive is faulty or some wiring. I am afraid, it could completely go off line. Though, I could replace it with a brand new unit since it is still in waranty period. Though it would cost me another £ 450 extra for replacing over the current unit. Do you thing it worths replacing.
My battery is weak. i plan to replace it in a few days time. Could it be the battery, the source of the problem at all ? But all other electrical functions of the car looks normal. Should i buy the brand new idrive unit if nothing changes after battery replacement. I am very confused about this issue. Pls help....
