"It's crap", mass produced, low quality! So say the fellows at my local Sprint store. Could it be envy? Maybe if Sprint had a hot phone like the Razr, the company's stock wouldn't be in the dumper.

Just so's you know, I'm a longtime Sprint customer (my wife works for American Airlines and the corporate discount is 25%, so it's a little hard to give up) and only want a Razr because it's one of the few phones BMW actually produces a cradle for. Come to think of it, I don't believe BMW makes a cradle for any current Sprint phone. Maybe that will change when Sprint comes out with their new Motorola line before Christmas. Of course, the Razr won't be one of the new models; the "Krzr" (which of course won't fit in the recently released Razr cradle) will be a Sprint "exclusive".

Hey, fellow E60'ers-What's your take on all this? I'd love to hear some input...

I've heard mixed reviews. Some people have had no problems, some people have had nothing but problems. Sounds kinda like the E60... My sister has had to replace her Razr three times because it keeps breaking, but my mom's is still working fine. Who knows.

As You can see in another thread posted by myself, I have been very dissatisfied with my V3i concerning its reception and sound quality. I had low reception even in areas with a good feed, sound was tinny and with a lot of interruptions. A replacement phone from T-Mobile didn?t bring any improvement. Now, I use the V3 only in the car with the BMW cradle, thus at least the reception qualities have improved by far. Having a choice, I?d recommend another cell phone, maybe Nokia or Sony.

Thing with the RAZR is, it's been out so long now that it's very well proven and there should be no problems with it unless you're unlucky. I've had an original, and now have the newer V3i model, and know plenty of other people who also have had both. I also work for a phone company (no, not Motorola..). Although the specs are aging fast I'd say the quality, including build, is actually good, partly due to the long time it's been in production and the case being partly aluminium.

Flashing with the latest software iron's out the bugs.

And the Samsung they want to sell you is hand crafted? Living in OP, I hear lots about Sprint's problems. I've been happy with my Razr. Build quality is good, call quality decent on T-Mobile.

I really like my Razr (Verizon Service) so I had to make a few changes to the phone because Verizon cripples there phones a lot of the time. I did not get the car cradle yet, but I am using Bluetooth and the phone book exchange works really good. I have had no major issues with this phone yet.

Verizon's new offering is the V3M and the phone quality and reception is outstanding. Sync with E60 was a breeze. This is coming from a salesman who has gone through several Samsung and LG phones, trying to find a replacment for my old Star Tac, the phone I consider the best cell phone ever made.

I've had the Razor for about 45 days and although I don't abuse it, it's the second best phone i've ever had.
I'm not sure if the M series is available through other carriers and again, I have Verizon

My dad's Razr just broke a week ago after having it for about two months so he is now on his second. My sister is still managing to hold onto her third after the first two broke, and my mom is still on number one. So it seems like quite the gamble if you ask me, but then again, what isn't?

Why not look into an unlocked RAZR? I'm not crazy about the phone myself but I've had no issues with my V3i (TMobile) although the first was defective or my wifes V3 (Verizon).
