Hey, I have a question... So far all ive dont since joining this forum is ask questions, but hofully eventually IW ill also be able to answer some...

Anyways, here is my question...

I got my motorola V60 phone installed and I love the handsfree and the voice commands. For people that also have this setup in there cars, can you only use voice commands for the phone, or can it be used with the radio and stuff like that. I was reading the book and it seemed like there were commands for "CD" and "TRACK 9" ect. but I tried it and it didnt work.

I, like you, started on this forum asking only questions. Now after a few months, I have a couple of answers. Do you have the Nav system? I do not and the only voice commands I can use are phone related. My understanding, with the Nav. system you can control cd,radio & climate items with voice. Without Nav. system, only the phone. Please jump in folks if I'm wrong. Once again, welcome

That is correct. The Nav system (in the US) adds the voice command capabilities. I'm not sure if this is same all over the world.

I dont have the nav, so that makes sense why it doesnt work with audio and such. At the time I didnt get nav because I pretty much dont travel outside of my area much in this car, so for the price I didnt think it was worth it for me, although now I guess it had more things with it then just nav.

In Europe we have two nav options - Business or Professional. The Professional is the version offered in the US which has the map display. Voice control only works with the Professional Nav system.

If you press the voice control button on your steering wheel and say "Help" you will be given a list of voice commands that are applicable to your own car. I hope this helps.
