Hi Forum Buds,
When I am on a phone call using Bluetooth (Blackberry 7250), if I go into a bad cell the phone call will drop but the iDrive phone screen acts like the call is still connected. The phone button on the steering wheel will not hang up the call, and the Voice Command button does not work. The only way to reset the system is to place another call from the phone when you get into a good cell...usually I will just check my voice mail and when I hang up it will terminate the call on iDrive, and all is well.

Anyone else experience this when you drop a cell phone call?

All the best,

Mark

It happens to me a lot  and I do the same thing you do
I am not sure why...I believe it is a common problem. Hopefully someone here figured out the cause...I am curious too

THis problem is reported in a service buleting for the Motorola razor phone. A CIP update may resolve it for the Motorola phones but it does not mention your phone.

I frequent this problem too (about 4-5 times a week). I've also found two solutions:

(1) as mentioned before, dial out using your phone, and end that call, or
(2) go to your idrive main menu, and get to the information "i" menu. From there, go to communication settings --> Bluetooth settings --> and click on your registered phone.

The system should reset back to normal.

I have a Sony Ericsson T637 and have never experienced this problem while using the phone. Could it possibly have something to do with the phone??????

I have the same problem with my RAZR phone. But it doesn't happen a lot, so it doesn't bother me as much.

UPDATE - I had my software upgraded to CIP 21 last Thursday. The Tech could not get any phone services to work. They decided the Telecomm module was bad. Replaced today (Tuesday). Things seem to be working, but will report back whether it fixed the original problem with locking the phone system when cell is dropped...more to follow. -Mark
