I promise you, we will never see a cradle. Just think about it..... is there a desktop cradle for the RAZR made by Motorola? No. Does anyone make a desktop cradle for the RAZR? No.
Yes, they do.

Yes, they do.

I saw that one, but realized that it is nothing more than a "stand" to hold your Razr upright since you still have to plug in the cable by hand. I think the concept of a cradle - at least to me - is a device you can set your Razr in that automatically connects with the charging port. It seems to me that someone could design a cradle where you insert the Razr on its side, thus connecting the charging port. But since no entrepreneur has come up with one yet, I guess there must be legitimate reasons why that won't work. Oh well....

I wonder if the battery in the back charges, or if it is just a standing battery. Still pretty neat to have!

You see? That picture makes my case right there. That's not a cradle. It's just a holder, or stand like someone already pointed out. You still have to plug it in with the USB cord. And furthermore, the antenna jack is on the back of the phone, and I don't see how you can plug in a USB cord and then snap the RAZR into a cradle where the antenna jack could be hooked up. In fact, the RAZR is just the right size to fit inside the top compartment of the E60 armrest.... but if you have the USB plug sticking out like that, it won't fit.
If you want something like that, then just buy a Car Charger, and run the cord into the center armrest. Then just plug in your RAZR.

Back to the thread though, the car cradle for the RAZR really makes no sense to me. I can leave the phone in my shirt pocket, or lay it on the I-Drive shelf and still see the whole display because it is so thin.
The advantage to Bluetooth is that you have no wires or connections to make and you get extra storage in the center compartment for the valet key, writing instruments, car wash book, etc.
I also like the idea of continuing a conversation when I leave the car. The idea of disconnecting the antenna to do that sounds like the call might get dropped.

I remain skeptical, still.
We will see soon.

They just started producing this - and have already sold out. They are making more and should be shipped to me in about a week. I will write a review of the product and post it here when it all happens.
