In my dealer (UK) and was shown a bulletin from BMW to say they had issued a retrofit kit for the E60 Bluetooth. Part number is 84 64 0 304 834.

They said that it does not matter whether phone preparation was pecified at Build.

RRP is ?549.00 + 8 to 10 hours fitting

If you did not specify sliding armrest (SA473) this kit is extra

Appears to the same regardless of country (Right or left hand drive).

 

Steve, excellent news. Was there anything to say if this retrofit can be added to cars with Navigation Professional yet?

EDIT: Do you mean the labour (8 to 10 hours) will be additional cost? If so,

 

Labour about ?900 depending on your spec. I have professional Sat/Nav (but a SE900 phone - so it will still not work) and there is no mention of ANY restictions
